What Is a high pressure plunger pump?
A high pressure plunger pump is a type of positive displacement pump, often designed as a triplex or Frac Pumps, capable of generating extremely high pressures—sometimes exceeding 15,000 psi.
These pumps are engineered to move large volumes of fracturing fluid (water, proppants, and chemicals) into the wellbore under controlled conditions.
Unlike conventional mud pumps used during drilling, high pressure plunger pump are designed to withstand far greater pressure levels and to operate in continuous, high-load cycles.
