API 5CT Tubing Pipe Coupling for Casing and Tubing

RIGRS supplies casing and tubing couplings for OCTG applications, including EUE, NUE, LTC, BTC and project-specific special-clearance or custom-machined configurations.
Coupling manufactured  from 1-1/3” to 30” according to API standard. It is treated with phosphating or copper plating and have good abrasion& corrosion resistance. Threads have strong viscous resistance. Also customized couplings can be supplied according to special requirement, such as special-clearance coupling, combination coupling, reducing coupling, seal-ring coupling, special-bevel tubing coupling, ect.
Available grades include J55, K55, N80, L80 and other project-specified materials, subject to pipe size, connection and purchase specification.
For replacement or customized couplings, buyers can send the pipe size, grade, thread type, coupling OD and existing drawing or sample dimensions for review.

They come with painted colour codes on their external surface to indicate their grades.

How to Select the Correct Casing or Tubing Pipe Coupling

A coupling should not be selecting by pipe OD alone. Pipe size, weight or wall thickness, material grade, connection type and coupling OD should be confirming before ordering.

API 5CT Tubing Pipe Coupling

RIGRS supplies tubing couplings for oilfield production strings, including EUE and NUE configurations in commonly specified grades such as J55, K55, N80 and L80.
For tubing coupling inquiries, buyers should provide the tubing OD, nominal weight or wall thickness, grade, connection type and quantity.
EUE and NUE couplings are different connection systems and should not be selecting interchangeably. The tubing size, weight and thread type must match the coupling specification.

K55 tubing couplings can be supplied for API 5CT tubing applications where K55 grade and the required EUE or NUE connection are specified.

7″ LTC Casing Couplings

7″ LTC casing couplings can be supplied according to the specified casing weight, material grade, thread form and coupling outside diameter.

Special Clearance Couplings

Special clearance couplings use a reduced outside diameter where standard coupling OD creates insufficient annular clearance.
They are commonly requested for restricted-clearance well designs, completion programs or project-specific casing configurations.
4-1/2″ LTC Special Clearance Coupling
For 4-1/2″ LTC special-clearance requirements, the target coupling OD should be confirming before machining.
Do not order a special-clearance coupling from pipe size alone.

Special Bevel Couplings

RIGRS can machine special bevel couplings according to purchaser drawings where a non-standard bevel, shoulder or end profile is requiring.

Coupling production can include material verification, heat treatment, CNC thread machining, dimensional inspection, thread gauging and product marking according to the confirmed purchase specification.

Q1: How do I know whether I need an EUE or NUE tubing coupling?

A: Check the tubing connection. EUE is using with external-upset tubing, while NUE is using with non-upset tubing. The coupling must also match the tubing size, weight and material grade.

Q2: Does the same pipe size mean the coupling is interchangeable?

A: No. Couplings for the same nominal pipe size may differ by pipe weight, thread type, material grade, outside diameter and connection design. These parameters should be confirming before replacement.

Q3: What is a special clearance coupling?

A: A special clearance coupling has a reduced outside diameter compared with a standard coupling. It is selected where annular clearance is limited or where a project specifies a maximum coupling OD.

Q4: Can you manufacture a coupling from a customer drawing?

Q5: What is the difference between LTC and BTC coupling?

A: LTC is a long-thread casing connection, while BTC uses a buttress-thread profile. They are different connection systems and should not be selecting interchangeably.
